Paris is a very particular city. Not only is it incredibly beautiful and charming, and said to be the centre of the world and the most beautiful city in the world, but it completely absorbs you. When visiting Paris, you need AT LEAST a week to be able to comprehend and appreciate where you are and what you are seeing, without feeling frustrated. It’s spread out, and it’s overwhelming. There are many sights to cover and most of them are a MUST see. It’s not a place you see in a day or two. Out of the question. You either have to be very well organized, have a structured plan of when, where and how, and be in good physical shape, or you simply need more time.
I was lucky to have my aunt’s and uncle’s help. They gave me suggestions of what to see first, how to get around Paris by saving time, along with some guided tours that gave me a clearer perspective than if had I gone alone.
It’s hard to write about a city like Paris because it’s unique and breath-taking. And I can’t seem to find the proper words to describe it. You are in awe most of the time. It’s beautiful, glamorous, inspiring, romantic, intimidating, always surprising, charming, grand, sumptuous, extravagant and let me not forget – costly.
I tried to take in everything I could, especially being immersed in the French culture, staying with my aunt and uncle, my cousin Alexandra and their French friends.
I made two promises:
1. To soon go back for a longer period.
2. To learn to speak fluent French.

I will be in Paris for a few days. I am staying at my aunt’s and uncle’s house in the centre of Paris, south of the Seine, and I will be meeting my cousin Alexandra and her boyfriend Gilles.
Needless to say I will be sightseeing intensively… I will even celebrate Halloween tomorrow night, amongst the French, my cousin’s friends.
Pictures… upon my return.
Voila! Merveilleux!
J’aime Paris!
