Apparently, my modem had a good night’s sleep and a revival. Halleluiah!

inTragedy occurred. My modem is officially sick. I have no internet connection at home. I can use my wireless connection in hot spots such as Starbucks and school, but since I’m not one of those freaks hanging out in Starbucks, alone, on a Friday night, I may use the internet at school or wait until my modem gets better. It seems that it has low signal or something. And I’m feeling devastated. It’s so interesting how one feels when something one takes for granted, such as hot water, heat, Internet, television, goes away. I know I feel like something tragic happened. I discovered I simply can’t live without the Internet, for more than a few hours. The Internet and I are soul mates; we can’t live without each other. (The last time I had no Internet at home was when I was baby-sitter for a dog, a beagle, and it ate the Internet cable. I had no Internet for two weeks, until I got the new cable. Did I hate that dog…)
My instant reaction was to unplug the modem a few times, the standard procedure, and to restart my computer, and when nothing worked, I immediately called my Internet provider. A representative went through a few steps with me, and eventually gave me the sad news, that I have to wait until Tuesday, until someone comes to check it out. Man…What am I supposed to do without my beloved Internet until TUESDAY?! That’s a million years away…What do people do without Internet? I don’t even enjoy TV that much; I usually leave it on, without watching it, while doing something else on my laptop.
Oh well, I may have to join those lonely pathetic dudes growing roots at Starbucks…
I’m drowning my sorrows in some extremely salty cheddar popcorn…
