I have always worn pretty dresses for all the family holiday celebrations. My grandfather would either come over to my parents house or we would go to his. This always called for the best attire ever, as he was a fervent advocate of proper etiquette. Bunica would cook all the traditional dishes and my mother would get the house neatly decorated. Although both my grandparents passed on and I can now do my own cooking and decorating, I am still choosing dresses for these special times of the year.
